An aspiring Influencer is an aspiring Mountain Climber
This is something you know you can do. You may be new to climbing but you have the desire and the support of a developing community needed to get where you want to go. But how should one even get started?
Breaking into this industry can feel like standing at the base of a shear cliff without a plan, the requisite equipment, or an idea of where to place your first step. Worse yet, everyone that is offering you lessons on those strategies have developed them:
As a reflection of their own personal path, even though this might not be the best one for you
Without enough or sometimes any real world experience
For climbers looking to Summit Everest
You do not need to be that level of climber, or even have that level of aspiration, in order to get something out of this pursuit. You just need enough knowledge about what the terrain looks like in to start forward with conviction.
I am not a mountain climber. Truthfully, I’m not that wild about hiking. This is not a “You Can Reach the Summit, Just Like I Did” program like so many other climbing intructors offer. In order to have staying power a climber needs to forge their own, authentic path.
What I do have is a list of all the equipment you need to start climbing safely and effectively. I can tell you all about the various types of mountains there are to climb, and offer you a detailed map of them. In fact, I was in the room when they made the maps, so I can provide tons of additional context on exactly what you can expect regardless of the heights you intend to reach or the path you choose to pursue.
I am not a sherpa, nor am I selling you a guarantee that you will reach the summit. I know from experience that no one can do that. It is my intention to provide you with a sound strategy and the tools you need to get started. How far you get, as always, depends on how determined you are to climb.
